John Schaub has survived and prospered in four down markets and will share his skills on how to not only survive but how to take advantage of the best buying opportunity of your lifetime. The combination of low interest rates and a buyers market are providing great opportunity for those with the skills to buy right. John promotes buying well located houses as the way to accumulate your first million and has started thousands on the path to successful investing. He has been helping investors in San Diego and Orange County buy since 1976 in his class where students actually find and negotiate deals with sellers. He is a full time investor who buys and manages his own properties and teaches only a few time each year.

Biography: John has successfully avoided holding a job since graduating from college. He has survived and prospered as a full time single-family landlord and shares what he has learned with students and readers of his books and newsletters. His best selling book Building Wealth One House at a Time has helped more than 80,000 investors begin investing.

John likes spending money as much as making it. He has owned and flown his own plane around the country since the early 70s He is also an avid skier, sailor, scuba diver and tennis player and loves to do all of these activities with his family

John is an advocate for affordable housing and education. He served 25 years on the Board of Habitat for Humanity Sarasota, and seven years on the International Board of Habitat. He currently serves on the International board of the Fuller Center for Housing and serves as chair of the State College of Florida College Foundation.
