About The Speaker

Nearly every seminar and book on single family house investing can be traced back to John's Making It Big on Little Deals Class. He first taught it 1975 and has thousands of successful CA students in San Diego and Orange County

John has survived and prospered during four recessions and interest rates ranging from 4 -16%. His best-selling book, published by McGraw Hill, Building Wealth One House at a Time, has helped more than 80,000 on their way to successful invest-ing.

John recommends buying and holding well-located houses and avoiding management-intensive and negative cash flow properties. He advocates owning properties free and clear and teaches how to find and keep long term, high quality tenants. John buys, sells and manages all of his own properties.

His students learn to quality properties at below-market prices, and on terms that guarantee a profit and then how to attract and keep the best tenants in their town.

John advocates for homeownership through his work with Habitat for Humanity and the Fuller Center for Housing. John served for more than 25 years on the board of Habitat, 7 years on the International Board and currently serves on the International Board of the Fuller Center for Housing and is the chair of the State College of Florida Foundation.
