About the Speaker

Realtor Walter Wofford has been a real estate investor for over 30 years.

He started buying real estate in 1981 with $2000 and purchased his first 17 homes with non-recourse seller financing only. He used his $2000 as his down payment and structured the financing so he would get back his $2000 before making payments. Then he would take the same $2000 and buy more houses.

He progressed to being a wholesale buy/sell guy and bought and sold over 1000 houses in a 10-year period.

He then realized that he could double his wholesale profit by offering short-term financing. But he was running out of money because he couldn't turn the houses fast enough.

So he went in a new direction--self-directed IRAs and creating and selling
short-term notes secured by real estate.

He didn't stop there. He then became a hard money lender and completed hundreds of transactions.

Today he buys investment properties and focuses in Internet marketing applied to all areas of real estate.

He and Laura, his wife of 35 years, live in Jackson, Mississippi. Their three grown children are also involved in real estate and video production.
