Molly Kirkland
Molly has served as the Public Affairs Director for the Southern California Rental Housing Association (formerly SDCAA) since 2012. Prior to that she worked for the San Diego Association of REALTORS (SDAR) for over 7 years, originally in Government Affairs Department. In January of 2009 she took over as Director of Communications for the organization. Prior to SDAR, she served as a Field Representative for California State Assemblymember Howard Wayne.
A graduate of San Diego State University, Kirkland received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 1999. A lifelong resident of San Diego, originally from the South Bay, she enjoys working for the betterment of the region. She currently resides in the La Mesa area.

Alan Pentico, CAE
Executive Director
As the Executive Director of the Southern California Rental Housing Association, Pentico draws on extensive community and advocacy experience in the rental housing and real estate industries, coupled with previous campaign strategy and political advisory work with elected officials.

Alan joined the Association in the summer of 2003, after six years as a Senior Policy Advisor in the Office of San Diego County Supervisor Dianne Jacob. On Jacob’s staff, he was responsible for policy development in the areas of housing and community development, public health, social services, children's services and drug and alcohol services. As Supervisor Jacob's liaison to the County's Housing and Community Development Department, Alan took on the challenges associated with revitalizing several distressed communities.

Before joining Supervisor Jacob's staff, Alan briefly worked in Sacramento for Governor Pete Wilson in the Office of Planning and Research where he assisted with analyzing legislation. In addition, Alan has done work on several campaigns as paid and volunteer staff as well as consulting.

A San Diego native, Alan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of San Diego. He and his wife Heather, a school teacher in the community of El Cajon, are residents of San Carlos, a community of the City of San Diego.

To further his career in the nonprofit trade industry, Alan sought and received his Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation from the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE).
